Never gonna happen. Server-based and will die within this decade, possibly sooner.
Unless they do what Mega Man X Dive did and release an offline version.
Something that EVERY game like this needs to do at the end of their servers' lives.
If I had to guess, I'd say much earlier. I could be wrong, but this just screams "flash in the pan" to me.
It's actually a four-year-old game already, only the global release is new. Since the global server started from the beginning, even with an accelerated release cadence, there's still several years worth of content ready to go.
Content, yes. Interest...we'll see.
I should have been more clear, I don't expect the game to die, I expect the hype to dry up. The game will survive, and people will play it, but it won't be The Thing after maybe even a couple of months.
I don't hate the game, and I'm not taking shots, for the record, although it wasn't really my thing, I'm just saying my expectations. Everyone's memeing with the horse girls, but that will fade fairly quickly, would be my guess.
As much as I'd like this to be true, the tragedy of Blue Protocol still has me wary.
Yeah i remember how they released a love live gacha and killed it about five minutes after release.
I think the current popularity boom will pass, but the franchise itself has existed for ~7 years now and has multiple games, anime, and manga.
It's an interesting game regardless. I'll try to record as much of the design as possible.
