I should have been more clear, I don't expect the game to die, I expect the hype to dry up. The game will survive, and people will play it, but it won't be The Thing after maybe even a couple of months.
I don't hate the game, and I'm not taking shots, for the record, although it wasn't really my thing, I'm just saying my expectations. Everyone's memeing with the horse girls, but that will fade fairly quickly, would be my guess.
It is still gigantic in Japan, both the game and the anime.
Maybe the West will get tired of it faster than that? But there will be a large number who will still be playing it in 4 years.
That's not counting on the whole game getting re-vamped and improved, just 'as is" it'll be here a long time. The quality is exceptional, the depth of play is solid & it's just plain fun! (and addicting too)
