Is it too early to get a breakdown of the vote by age demographic as I have a hunch they were battered by the elderly demographic who are VERY anti mass 'immigration'.
Though saying that, the influx on nuisance streamers in cities especially Tokyo might've turned off the younger ones to vote for them too.
Japanese Boomers had to deal with being poor as shit after WW2, on top of a gaijin occupation. Very different life experience compared to the spoiled brats that are US Boomers.
That isn't suggesting that the elderly block are more pro immigrant right? I remember them forcing the government to just do a ban on foriegn travel into Japan than lockdowns.
Like i said the "right wing" of the younger generation is probably more based than the "right wing" of the older generation. Similar to the West. The younger right wingers are more far right than then older right wingers.

Yeah I think most of the elderly in Japan are rural farmers, which is why when they die the small towns they're in just become ghost towns.
Actually its the younger generation that are anti immigrant. Similar to how the right wing zoomers in America are more far right than the boomers
