I was wondering about this when someone mentioned that they were keeping him on until his contract ends so they don't have to pay out.
Made me wonder how much of his budget was not under contract and if they would just make him write his own stuff and have a single cameraman.
If they reduced that $100 million to 39 million or below, it couldn't possibly do worse than a 40 million loss even if there are zero watchers.
Imagine having that kind of budget and not being able to produce anything that was funny

Just image the constant infighting of that group. You couldn't even accidentally get a real joke through I'm sure with the woke police on the case. No fun allowed and it showed.
Generational wealth is something like $40 million in the bank.
That is enough to last you for your entire life, take care of your kids with a trust fund, and give a nice chunk to your grandkids too.
I point this out to give perspective on what $15 million a year actually means to a person and their future.
