My theory on all of this: Israel is using US planes as human shields.
Trump probably told Iran, look, you're getting bombed and that's that. You can shoot down any of the Israel planes you want. Go ahead and try. But there will be US planes too. You better not hit ours. If a US plane has an engine failure, crashes into a mountain, you get invaded. 200k soldiers up your ass. So you better not shoot anything down.
It's not like they can tell the difference between US and Israeli planes (they're the same planes!) It's too much risk to shoot a US plane down, so they let them all go.
Bend over, take the bombs, make some concessions, it will all be over soon. But if you don't want more than bombs, don't try anything funny.
My evidence for this is the fact that the Houthis successfully chased away the US navy using 1/10th the resources and firepower. It turns out US pilots are not combat capable. When someone fires an AA missile even vaguely in their direction, they panic and crash.
Iran is a way bigger country, with way more AA defenses. Yes Israel claimed they knocked them all out. 100%? For a week? Really? I have doubts. More like Iran isn't risking shooting down any US planes. They know they can survive the bombing, they are trying to avoid a full war.

The F-18s lost to the Houthis were results of carrier mishaps, not defensive maneuvering in flight. Interesting theory though.

Israel will try to get that war however.

One was friendly fire from a missile cruiser of some sort, one fell off.
I think that's the only two, but I could be missing one.
There was yet another F-18 that fell off a carrier after the first one fell off
Then I did miss that one. Or I saw it but thought it was the same story.
2 fell off
So they say... You know it took years to learn the truth about Kara Hultgreen right?
