I don't regret voting for Trump either. he was 100% the best candidate, and that is the sad state of our presidential elections.
that said, if he drags the us into a war without Congressional approval, I would support impeaching him. that would mean Vance takes office, and I'm not opposed to that.
I would like to return to the days Congress actually approving our war time actions, instead of these bullshit """"police"""" actions that we've had since Korea.

The PotUS is allowed to order military action, but on a limited time scale. He's supposed to get Congressional OK before (iirc) 30 days is up. There's been no action at all yet against Iran, so we'll just have to wait and see how it unfolds.
I remember a lot of them, including Obama's, Bush's, Clinton's. these so-called military actions spread Way beyond 30 days, and where our effective involvement in wars without a congressional approval. It was never okay, and it's not okay today.
