Oh it's already happening. The number of people I see on youtube who casually reference asking some LLM for information as if that isn't just pure hallucination is discouraging.
While I'm not a proponent of believing any single study on anything, there's two there (the main thread, and one linked in it additionally) that show AI does in fact make people more retarded.
