Something I don't hear talked about much is that abortions are taken like candy there. That's one of the reasons for the low birthrate. It's considered normal routine birth control, and there's no societal pushback at all that I'm aware of, religious or otherwise. On the other hand, unlike in America they do ban it after a point. (up to 6 months I believe, unless the doctor considers it medically necessary)
If you're married in Japan, the woman cannot just decide to kill the baby unless the father consents. Definetly something the Western leftists would endlessly reeee about.
