I’m not opposed to denaturalizing requiring some strong justification, since naturalization in the first place is (supposed to be) a high standard and generally permanent. But, to say that discussing doing such a thing at all is grounds for banning your political party is crazy. And the article makes clear, it’s not that AfD could argue against the desire to review and reverse what I suspect are many undeserved naturalizations being ban worthy, it’s that AfD doesn’t even go that far.
Under the same reasoning, the German legal system would ban the Conservative Party of Canada, which stripped dual citizens of Canadian citizenship if it was not their first citizenship, and commited certain offences.
