Even my gun-savvy uncle recalls one scare he had. Unloading a shotgun, he gave it 2-3 extra pumps after the last shell came out. Then he though "I put in 12 didn't I? It seems like only 11 came out" and gave it another pump. Out popped the actual last shell! Stuff happens, eh?
I've heard about guns going off during cleaning and I don't understand how that happens.
Because people are stupid and don't check to make sure it's loaded before trying to disassemble it.
