There seems to be a pattern of games that were totally reliant on ONE person for promotion of their game, turning on them under the slightest pressure and them dying because of the backlash by trying to cut ties.
Think they'll learn to shut the fuck up, just focus on the game and not get involved in these cancellation hunts?
To paraphrase the occasionally very based Matt Walsh...if you're reliant on one VTuber, you're already not a game.
Seriously, though. It's incredibly fucking retarded to turn on the person who made you successful, to try to curry favor with dysgenic fucks who don't buy video games, and you deserve everything you get if you're braindead enough to pull that stunt.
In the wise words/song lyrics of Erika Harlacher (Honkai voice actress who DEFINITELY wasn't singing about the industry fiasco):
"You just can't seem to keep your mouth closed [...] You'd solve all your problems if you just could shut the fuck up."
It really would solve 90% of the industry's problems. Just shut up and make games. Even mediocre ones will sell a little bit if you shut up and make games, and each one you shut up and make, gets you a bit more fanbase, a bit more customer money.
I'll have to look that up sometime, it's the second time I've heard of it (First being right after Genshin actors started harassing Jacob Takanashi). I certainly don't expect her to be based, but I'm always willing to settle for "shows actual common sense."

That song is a year old but that TikTok was absolutely aimed at the striking VAs who can’t shut up.
