Lefty press is screaming from the rooftops that republicans are taking away people's medicaid. the reality is they are cutting the budget but there is nothing mechanical in the bill that would reduce eligibility. (archive.is)

This part is a bit screwy.

"To be eligible for Medicaid, there would be new “community engagement requirements” of at least 80 hours per month of work, education or service for able-bodied adults without dependents."

The idea itself isn't entirely bad per say? But it's a little bizarre. Possibly a little retarded. And actually trying to execute and enforce that is absolutely going to be a bureaucratic nightmare.

The "without dependents" part has Speaker Tradcuck's greasy fingerprints all over it. He's fine with single mothers leeching off the system but god fucking forbid a man who only burdens his parents play the same game.

He's not the only one. It would never pass without that allowance.

I don't see why in this day and age it should be. All gov databases should be streamlined and integrated with each other.

lmao

Indians. The government purchasing debacle ensures that the shittiest fly by night software companies stocked full of Indians get any contracts. So nothing can ever get done

All the fed departments, when they're not working to stomp on plebs citizens, they don't really like each other. Each one competes for Congressional budget dollars, and sharing information runs the risk of being seen as redundant and losing their jobs.

Fun fact: the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was one such department on the chopping block. To show how crucial and necessary they were, the ATF decided to harass some guy living in a place called Ruby Ridge...

Not all fraud should be stopped, if conditions make it so fraud is the only way to survive is the fraudster in the fault or society as a whole?

Basic amenities required for modern life and employment(a reliable car + insurance, a smart phone compatible with modern wireless signals, a home to sleep and shower in, medical costs, and possibly cosmetic surgery to increase employability)

It's a death sentence for the men who are unable to find work, absolutely disgusting.

How so? It doesn't mean you have to get a real job. Just do some shitty community service gig. Service equals citizenship.

Men shouldn't be forced to work half a full time job just for basic medical care, especially when that medical care might mean we are unable to work those hours and there's no way to prove we can't work those hours unless we're able to get the medical side of things done first.
