“Our small businesses are entirely reliant on cheap Chinese imports, there’s no one else in the world who can produce these goods other than subsidized slave labor”
The left is truly a mockery of itself
Socialists and Communists defending """"fReE tRaDe"""" is one of the most galling things I've ever seen in the history of politics.
They also pretend to support unions but want unlimited scabs from Mexico. They're two-faced scumbags.
This is what I think is so crazy. Ignoring the moral issue parts, the left’s formal stance is “we’re too dependent on our foreign adversary’s manufacturing, and we’re not willing/able to divest ourselves of them.”
So… China is the new world hegemon then, right? That’s the official political stance? If they have inescapable leverage over essential things of ours, we’re essentially a vassal.
It's better that a Communist be world hegemon than literally anything else ever. That's the logic.
Yes they did offload manufacturing, because those are the rules, and everybody did. Now they are going to have to stop buying from China, and start buying from other countries as factories expand in the US. Now, the rules are being changed so that we don't actually have to de-industrialized. The "America is a Service Economy" concept now gets to die the death it has always deserved.
By the way, the latest jobs report says US wages increased faster than inflation. That's one of the best things I've ever heard from a jobs report.
How do I archive a Facebook post?
Same way you archive anything afaik. Seemed to work for me
https://archive.is/X8EGu
It's not showing comments or the full post. I want to post that.
It shows them for me.
Edit: Maybe try a different browser? I'm on mobile and it let's me scroll and see comments.
Ok. That makes it even more interesting. I will check different browsers.
Yeah archive can be funny sometimes. I've complained of links not working, but others say it worked fine for them. Hard to pinpoint the reason.
