Even milktoast Japanese conservatives like RandomYoko think that FDR was the one that was trying to start a war with Japan during ww2 https://archive.md/Va4ie
Also it seems that Japanese conservatives have taken note of the fact that it was American Democrats that waged war against Axis in ww2. Something that American conservatives haven't taken note of. Apparently to the average American conservative, the Democrats are wrong about everything except ww2.
RandomYoko is not far right. Not even close she doesn't support total closed borders and thought it was a good idea for Japan to take in Hong kong and Ukraine refugees and is in denial about Japan having too many immigrants. , she's more like a neocon then anything
Most normie conservatives try to claim the nazis were leftists. i dont know what planet you live in if you think most Western conservatives say "Hitler was right wing"
Though i do agree that right and left have become meaningless terms and the real war is between nationalism and globalism
i think people more often than not lately just make up whatever qualities they want in a classical political alignment chart
i myself am guilty of this. i have to explain every time in person when i make this argument -- i view "Left" - "Right" as a not a 4-way chart, but a sliding scale from
Left Side: [Authoritarian 100]/[Liberty 0] to Right Side: [Authoritarian 0]/[Liberty 100]
in short lol. yeah, the Left/Right label is becoming more meaningless. Discourse and language is going to change over time and the meanings of Left/Right will change. Much like how the mainstream has co-opted and largely de-weaponised "Woke" (at least in Australia)
The wording isn't so silly when it's used to shutdown and control conversations. I agree in a vacuum you could argue the similarities of each political position, but we don't live in a vacuum. And those distinctions are being used to lie, subvert, and control people
