I can literally only think of the Boondocks guy as a black dude willing to aggressively call out blacks and their faults without giving them the "blame whitey" excuse to get fully out of it.
Otherwise all the others just wanted the short term gain of getting a payday now, and not caring about the later consequences.
I think during Cosby's era there was genuine improvement happening. The 80s had a lot of actual positive, civilized black role models. But between Rodney King and gangsta rap taking off, it all got flushed away in a moment.
It's bit of shame. The black people could have gone further in success and respect if they took Michael Jordan's work ethic and stoic persona as models yet most of them went for the most shallow and flashy fashion shoes. The gangsta rap culture completely brainwashed their brains and attitudes on how they go about their lives.
