I don't disagree, and I'm not saying you're wrong. At some point the brutal historical reality can't be ignored. Rhodesians do die, eventually. Before that happens, the question is where will you go. If you have to leave, you will be a diaspora. If you go someone else, you're basically starting again if you want to preserve your history.
In the US the Accadian settlers were forcibly removed by the British after their successful war with France in the "French-Indian War". They became a flotilla of refugees who couldn't make it back to France due to the conditions of their ships and people. They sailed the coast of the US until they found the only French colony that they could get to: Louisiana. When they arrived, the city of New Orleans basically told them that they were full, but would allow them to settle outside the city. Unfortunately, the area outside the city was impenetrable swamp land. They decided they had nothing left to lose, so they settled it anyway. Over-time, their accent changed in response to the harsh humidity of the swamps and the Acadians engaged slurred their names in a thick southern drawl and accidentally prompted them to engage in Ethnogenesis:
The Accadians may have been French, but the Cajuns are not not French, not Canadian, and are distinctly and explicitly American.
If you leave, you and your descendants may become something else, maybe you'll become something else: like a New Zealander. But maybe you'll become something even more unique. But I suppose that depends on you more than anything.
I suspect that the Afrikanner diaspora will probably become something else to, probably more than one.

I hate the thought of this, but you’re probably correct. As much as it sucks though, as a parent my duty is to my three little children and prioritising their physical safety. New Zealand wasn’t my first choice (I always hoped to go to America but I’m in my 40’s already so it’s unlikely), but at least my kids are physically safe here. No one is coming to murder them in their beds just because of their skin colour. They’ll have a childhood with food, water and electricity - sorry to say but that’s more important to me than preserving culture. It’s Maslow’s hierarchy.
Having said that, I am still doing my best to teach them our language and all about their heritage etc, but yeah you’re probably right that we’ll eventually be watered down into something else.
Probably not kiwi though, whatever that is these days anyway. The way I’ve seen THEIR culture slowly being phased out and replaced through mass immigration of asians and pajeets has been crazy. It’s happening to the Aussies, Brits and Canadians too. I think ALL our cultures are in the same perilous position to be honest, some of us are just a little further along than others
