I hate the thought of this, but you’re probably correct. As much as it sucks though, as a parent my duty is to my three little children and prioritising their physical safety. New Zealand wasn’t my first choice (I always hoped to go to America but I’m in my 40’s already so it’s unlikely), but at least my kids are physically safe here. No one is coming to murder them in their beds just because of their skin colour. They’ll have a childhood with food, water and electricity - sorry to say but that’s more important to me than preserving culture. It’s Maslow’s hierarchy.

Having said that, I am still doing my best to teach them our language and all about their heritage etc, but yeah you’re probably right that we’ll eventually be watered down into something else.

Probably not kiwi though, whatever that is these days anyway. The way I’ve seen THEIR culture slowly being phased out and replaced through mass immigration of asians and pajeets has been crazy. It’s happening to the Aussies, Brits and Canadians too. I think ALL our cultures are in the same perilous position to be honest, some of us are just a little further along than others
