Who among us hasn't gotten to work and had to open up or something, only to realise the keys were in your other pants or something, a change in routine or distraction threw out your normal process and so you left it at home. I expect this to happen repeatedly actually. Won't be the first, won't be the last. But you'd hope it was rare.
Yeah, saying your time is worth, at most, 3.75 an hour is just short of spitting in your face. It's almost more insulting than no coupon at all, like a $0.01 tip.
Seriously?!?
"Who among us..."
Bullshit! An international airline pilot who forgets their passport isn't the same as you forgetting your Thermos.
Pilot should be relieved for gross stupidity.
What's next?
"Hey, did you forget to order the jetfuel?"
Airline pilots work in a field that is filled with things that could result in deaths if they forget to do it, coupled with strategies that make it very hard to forget to do those things- checklists and cross-person verification. If it doesn't occur to them to apply that same strategy to something like bringing their passport, I'm not sure if I'd trust them to do the other things either.
You know what

The $15 coupon though? Fuck off.

speculation: the coupon is only good towards your next flight with United.
What? You weren't expecting a coupon for something actually useful were you?
And it probably cannot be combined with other promotions. So it's likely worth less than regular promos that everyone gets.
next level: the coupon has an expiration date
I find it helps to keep a checklist of things to do before a major trip, as well as prepping your day bag or luggage the night before.

Yeah, no, when people's lives are in your hands, forgetting basic tools of your trade is retarded.
