Houthis have been striking cargo ships heading towards the us since 2024. They recently just announced they will hit any US ship crossing the red sea. What did you expect was going to happen with that provokation.

The Houthis are retaliating against America for supporting Israel. You left that part out. They didn't just randomly decide to start attacking things.

You want to know the MOST ironic thing about all of this? There's actual historical precedence to America's action and European inaction.
The Barbury Pirates, for DECADES the European powers did nothing against them and even paid them off not to raid them, it was America who was the first one to actually fight back (extremely successfully I might add) that started to erase this threat to international shipping.
