What have you seen from him which leads you to extend so much benefit of the doubt that you’d trust him over Webb, who imo has displayed a legitimate moral fortitude and ethical backbone which for all intents and purposes doesn’t exist amongst public intellectuals/journalists, and hasn’t in decades, and especially that I’ve never seen coming from theil or anyone associated with him.

You trace the money and the connections. When they all point back to one person what are you supposed to do? Ignore that because he "seems reasonable?" I mean, why would a billionaire lie to your face, right?
