Slippery slope isn't a fallacy, it just can be used as one.
If you have legitimate reason to believe A will lead to B to C, etc. then its still a slippery slope and completely rational to believe it will happen.
This was the time the Left believed that just saying the name of arguments meant they won, and its sad we let them get away with that.
The terrible truth is that was NAMBLA and it's founders were there from the beginning, and they were forced to back-track as a result of the blowback of the Reagan Revolution. The Leftists of the 70's had gotten power in the 60's and nearly destroyed the country for 20 years. They were rebuked in the 80's, and adapted in the 90's. The 70's radicals never left, and infested themselves in Universities, and are the source of most of today's radicalism. Even the trans movement we see today was rebuked in the late 70's due to the number of deaths and rapes of children. The current radicals had to bury those old studies to re-introduce the same ideology. Now we get to re-live all of the old failures and crimes.
Yep. The activists used to dismiss people concerned about making gay marriage a thing and when they said it would lead to worse things they would say slippery slope
I remember this. Also remember hearing about slippery slope fallacy ad nauseam.

The Slippery Slope is a fallacy.
However, their explicit intention to fuck children was not. They're just liars.
“But the gay community disavowed NAMBLA back in the 90s!”
After their major activist org was literally forced by the UN and Bill Clinton threatening to cut their privileged status and funding.
And they kept all the other pedo orgs in their ranks for years after, and had to have a legal blowup each time.
I would like to know more.
There must have been other smaller org that we've forgotten. You have a jumpstart for me?
How did NAMBLA get there?

They'll be back in the 2040s, when a new generation will have grown up without seeing them at the height of their power.
