But he's only been famous for about 18 months or so.
And has implied that his current revenue more-or-less has made up for 15-20 years of poverty-level gig work.
He has a degree in Psychology and talks about meeting girls driving for Uber in the past.
He was couchsurfing/doing the vanlife thing for many months last year after giving up his apartment lease. He would sometimes post that he was paying 1k+ a week for AirBnBs.
10 years ago. 1 million views translated to about +1.5k usd. Of course views as a metric is very generalized. It depends on ad blocks or if people skip ads or click on ads. But no way to tell, so just going by view count. Source? Myself. Was making 2k a month til youtube got all gay and went after videos that show bikini outfits in video games...
YT is a rough career choice. I look at Kneon and Geeky Sparkles from Clownfish TV. They work their ass off.
Kneon is a very talented comic artist and Geeky runs a whole news website, writing articles and managing a stable of other writers. They are only just doing okay for the work they put in. Despite being one of the best, most consistent news aggregators for pop culture and having regular scoops on the Disney Parks, they still have side hustles to pay the rent.
If they had put that much effort into (say) a plumbing business, they would be millionaires.
Yeah. At my height, i did a video ever 3 days. But eventually averaged 1 every 7 to 9 days. Mostly higher quality stuff. Not say what since i dont want to dox myself
I've never heard him discuss specifics.

Well, kudos to you for having a go. Most people don't even try.
Few, high quality videos is not favored by the algorithm. Which sucks dick, but no one asked me.
