YT is a rough career choice. I look at Kneon and Geeky Sparkles from Clownfish TV. They work their ass off.
Kneon is a very talented comic artist and Geeky runs a whole news website, writing articles and managing a stable of other writers. They are only just doing okay for the work they put in. Despite being one of the best, most consistent news aggregators for pop culture and having regular scoops on the Disney Parks, they still have side hustles to pay the rent.
If they had put that much effort into (say) a plumbing business, they would be millionaires.
Yeah. At my height, i did a video ever 3 days. But eventually averaged 1 every 7 to 9 days. Mostly higher quality stuff. Not say what since i dont want to dox myself
Yeah. I topped off at 80k subs before i got blacklisted. My competitor, he had +1 million subs. He quit making the same genre of vids 2 years before i did. Pretty sure he is blacklisted too. he went on to do some low effort reaction vids with an alt channel but recently got perma banned.
Yeah. We did reviews, so it took longer to make. and once we got blacklisted,
we also stopped growing. Algorithm didnt favor us. They definitely dont favor video game boobas.
Livestreams don't grow the channel. Highly polished videos don't grow the channel unless they are evergreen. Daily content of slightly longer than ten minutes might as long as it hits the keyword sweet spots.
Channels that grow have one person doing the scripts and facing the camera while one or two editors make it look good and keep the release rate regular. Always chasing trends or the current thing. All of the content aging out after two weeks or so.
It must be a soul crushing treadmill.
I want you to know that I really like video game boobas. I apricate your work. Uh. In principle.

Well, kudos to you for having a go. Most people don't even try.
Few, high quality videos is not favored by the algorithm. Which sucks dick, but no one asked me.
