“Forcing a kid through the wrong puberty”. How the fuck is this a rationale? What other puberty can you have? You physically cannot have a period if you’re a guy or an erection if you’re a girl.
You only GET the one, too. There's no way the doctors don't realize that it's not something that you can turn on and off like a switch.
But that's what the drugs are for. It's stopping the natural puberty and replacing it with heavy dosages of hormonal therapy.
They still have the only puberty they have as their sex. It is simply a Frankenstein puberty dosed with hormones that will likely kill these kids by the time they’re 50 if not sooner.

It's not as much an ''off switch'' as a ''nuke it''.
After the kids are chemically-castrated, they can't have their normal puberty anymore. The developmental phase is lost ( stunt growth, stunt bone density, stunt IQ ), and will usually depend on drugs for the rest of their lives because the castration drugs fucked their endocrine system.

80% to 98% of gender-confused kids who go through puberty normally, accept their biological sex. They litterally get over it if you don't enable them and don't chemically-castrate them.
If you chemically-castrate them, then about 0% grow to accept their biological sex. They will depend on drugs untill they die ( and likely risky, painful, scarring, mutulating sugeries with high hygene maintenance for the rest of their lives ).
