My dad was a cop in South Africa in the 80’s. They would get sent into the shanty towns and squatter camps and he’d literally find dogs, cats and once even an African baby boiling in a big pot. He still has nightmares about it.

I worked at a hospital here in Oz. I've been involved in two infanticide investigations. It kind of fucked me up, and I didn't even see the bodies.
The cops don't even write reports. No one knows what to do with the information. It won't ever see a day in court or a line in the newspaper.
