The answer is simple: you can't politically organize on TEMU. You can't say things like "Free Palestine" (which is now auto-censored) or talk about Zionism, etc. It's fine for you to buy cheap plastic shit with your increasingly worthless wages, but don't you go noticing which goblin is responsible for the inflation, or which goblin wants you to die in a war for the benefit of goblins. That's why TikTok is "bad" and TEMU is "good."
There isn't that much pro Chinese propaganda pushed on tiktok (though they ban anti Chinese content), and the law was targeted at information gathering.
I’m wondering why an app like temu was ok but TikTok isn’t? Temu app was owned by millions and is presumably scraping the same data that TikTok is.
