Nobody wants this Body Type A/B nonsense.

I don't know how many of you guys play it, but the new Monster Hunter is gonna be a doozy, regarding this issue. They went hard.
Monster Hunter Rise already did the Body Type clownery, coupled with the fact that you could pick any voice for any character. But Wilds goes a step further. Not only are there Body Type 1 and 2 and Voice Type 1-8, there's also facial hair, the costumes and the walking cycle. You can make the manliest man to ever man and give him a high pitched voice, feminine walk and put him in a mini skirt.
That shit should be reserved for Saints Row. At least it is (was, pre-wokening of the series) funny there.
Yeah, and even then when you could do that dumb stuff, Saints Row 2 made it pretty clear the Boss was hyper-masculine as a written character, so as you mentioned it was done for the giggles and memes, which was fine at the time before faggotry became saturated everywhere. Unfortunately it's used unironically in today's games.
Also, if you played a female Boss with a female voice, the writing added to some of the cutscenes meant you were playing a violent, psychotic lesbian.
I remember liking when saints row 3 did this, because you can make the most ridiculous character and it was funny.
it's no longer funny.
And if a content creator makes what they consider a ridiculous character, someone sooner or later is probably either going to assume they're woke or report them for mocking trannys.
Also they removed the armor locked by gender.
Not to diminish the point, but that's not that uncommon. Like, I played a random 3ds game from over a decade ago with a character creator recently and you could do that in it, and it was pre-body type as it still had gender as an option. It just didn't lock anything to gender other than general body shape. Japan has been pretty open in that regard I think on its own accord.
I think increasing freedoms in creation tools is usually a good thing, even if it can be used for nonsense. Its when they take away tools (like Dragon Age highly limiting the bust slider in a comical manner or Xenoblade removing it entirely) that its infuriating.
As long as the full plethora of options remain the same, trannies using it for their gay little RP isn't my concern. It'll make it easier to find and kick them even.
They push it on the mobile version Monster Hunter Now too. If you don't fill it out, then the notification badge will permanently exist on your main screen. And if you do fill it out, chances are a major update down the road will reset your choices and require you to fill it out again (I've heard it happening before).
