This is the only way they can keep Cheney even remotely relevant.

It's like those authors they give shit face Jew awards to.

A consolation prize given that they lost and can't give her a post as a reward for her collaboration.

Is she officially a democrat yet? Because if not, then she shouldn't expect to ever be elected as a Republican ever again.

She declared herself independent.

But unlike some iconoclastic Is, eg Bernie, no one likes her.

How much does this award weigh in silver? About thirty pieces' worth, I wager.

don't get me started on that shit. they took the Cheney's endorsement as a sort of gotcha to say "see, even old school Republicans reject Orange man!"

Right, the old school Republicans who dragged us into war after war over false pretenses. Who were literally the inspiration for your hit single American Idiot. who led the charge on censoring video games and the internet before it was """cool""". they endorse you and you don't see the problem?

[the old school Republicans] who led the charge on censoring video games

I wish this narrative would die already.

Unless you are thinking specifically of Jack Thompson (who was a lawyer, not a politician), the people who led the charge were the Democrats. Specifically: Hillary Clinton, Leeland Yee, Joe Lieberman, Herb Kohl, Byron Dorgan, and Tom Lantos.

All these people played a role, whether large or small, in attacking the video game industry.

Awards created and given by bad people to other bad people to "legitimize" the reasons they are considered bad people.

That brave soul deserves all the commendations and awards the DNC can muster.

remember that part in Animal Farm where Napoleon rounds up and slaughters all the animals who opposed his corruption, then awarded himself medals for it?
