You laugh because you've never been out with a group of friends that included an African. "Harder to see in the dark" is all fun and games until you lose sight of him, ask where he went, and then he opens his eyes 5 feet away.

I remember doing laser tag one time in a building where part of the schtick was that the room was lit only by blacklight. And there was this African guy playing on the opponent team, and I lost track of him in a corner where the light was kind of dim and not showing as much.
Then I saw eyes appear out of a dark corner.
Then I saw smiling teeth.
And then my vest was buzzing that I had been hit.
Not going to lie, it was a kind of spooky and surreal experience seeing the Cheshire Cat become real in front of me because of the right kind of lighting mixed with the right skin tone.
The worse part is that when the African guys explain to you the inverse.
Apparently, they can basically see white guys in moonlight from miles away.
