I knew about sci-fi and fantasy but didn’t know it’s all over wow. One thing that could fix it would be to accept that men and women generally have different tastes. You wouldn’t see a dude taking over romance stories and making them more male focused so why do you think it works in guy brands? Comic books should serve as the perfect example. Super hero comics I mean

For the same reason every previously male-only space has been invaded by women. Men in general are fine with women having their own spaces (trannies excluded) but most women cannot stand the idea that men can gather without a female chaperone. Hence their continual encroachment and co-opting of previously male spaces.
Plus you have the existence of spiteful misandrists who see everything as a zero-sum game and just want to take away everything from men.
I got into an argument on Reddit about she-sheds. I was a misogynist because I said the whole she-shed in response to men having a man cave is stupid. The purpose of the man cave was the only room the male could decide it's primary function and decor, while the female did that for that entirety of the rest of the house. A female designated place is redundant and stupid.
Women just got angry that man caves entered the zeitgeist and normal people enjoyed the concept. But a bunch of cat ladies couldn't let men have even the concept of a place for a male to exist.
The best part about the man cave is that it’s typically a part of the house that is considered low value. The basement, the attic, the garage. Dank, musty, unfinished, ugly spaces. And yet they become comfortable refuges for men simply by din of catering to their preferences - and having no women. It’s like a little apartment inside your own house, reminding you what truly makes you happy.

There was a tweet some years ago I really like about this scenario involving a dude going like:
I've always loved Lifetime movies, I grew up watching them and they are so special to me. That's why I made one about this big titty girl shooting dinosaurs with lasers until they explode.
Which distills the entire "women writers" thing down to its basics.
all that shit is basically "young adult fiction", that's what happened, it's what publishers are after exclusively these days, ever since Twilight's success.

Once again comic book industry and gaming industry are prime examples
