The home plate umpire is a literal diversity hire that was hired through a ‘minority opportunity program’, and the balls and strikes are so bad that the broadcast on Fox turned off the strike zone rectangle until a few innings after.
Robot umpires can’t come soon enough

The worst ump in baseball, Angel Hernandez, once SUED Major League Baseball, claiming racism, because he wasn't getting to ump playoff games.
And now this.
Hernandez recently retired and the fans rejoiced...but in the end, he won.
He was so bad that I don't even watch baseball and I recognize that name.
Just an additional titbit Angel Hernandez sued MLB for racial bias for not promoting him. In court MLB presented statistical analyses to counter his claims of racial bias costing him his promotion.
They fucking went dataisbeautiful on Angel to prove he's shit. Angel lost the suit and lost on appeal.
I recall people softening on him when he announced he is hanging up his white cane and shades. Same goes for Joe West until he started editing his own wiki like a crazy person.
I’m about to go to bed, but I’ll make a main post explaining why the umpires for this WS suck, but I swear MLB is mainly doing this to force the issue with the Umpire union
