The board game industry is absolutely rotten with "inclusiveness" bullshit right now, to the degree that I basically dropped out of buying and playing them.
Boardgamegeek is absolutely awful as well. They put up some statement during the summer of love in support of all the leftist bullshit, and they will run you out of there with torches and pitchforks if you don't agree with them.
True story. I was a big fan of Gloomhaven and I was a day 1 backer of Frosthaven, and then Isaac Childres went full woke retard on the Kickstarter and I said I would never support his hateful rhetoric and vile racist views. The next day my full backer money was refunded and I was blocked and kicked from the kickstarter.
To this day, I will spread far and wide the evil that Isaac Childres supports. Fuck him and fuck the woke mind virus that has infected yet another passion I have in board gaming.
That Frosthaven update was just mind-blowing. Our entire game group was ready to dive into the sequel after beating Gloomhaven and then he posts that backer update. Some diversity grifter calls him a racist for his depictions of fictional races in his game and he just folds in half, rewrites Frosthaven, and then says if that bothers you and request a refund then you are a horrible racist. Probably means he's on the spectrum and was taken advantage of, but taking it out on people giving you money is bold.
He's now making Gloomhaven 2nd Edition and rewriting that game too in order to remove any imagined slights. No "scoundrel", no "brute" because that's mean to these fictional creatures. Art updates look horrible too. Embarrassing.
Has anyone here played any of his games? From what I have quickly read about him, including this article, he certainly prolific and may well be talented, but has the appearance of being an arrogant, entitled activist-autist who would be well served to "shut up and dribble design fun games". And update his website as 6 years is a long time.
I have. Multiple of them. They're entertaining but it seems obvious he doesn't balance them. There's always some shit in there that's really broken and snowbally, which might be his style but it makes for bad games. Compare this to say sid Jackson
I've got both Bloodborne: The Card Game and the Board Game, both of which I enjoy and that he worked on, though from what I understand, the latter is really more the work of his-author, Michael Shinall. He's made a lot of games, but looking at his work now and seeing how there's always a co-creator involved with his projects, I have a feeling he's becoming more of a glorified consultant than anything. Or is just putting his name on the box to give it acclaim.
I enjoyed Dice Masters, despite being capeshit themed, as it scratched that long dormant itch from playing MTG in the 90s. But he's only a co-designer so who knows what he really contributed. Being a leftist, I have to assume nothing he didn't steal from elsewhere.

I already hated him for his retarded way of handling rolling modifiers with advantage in gloomhaven.

I recall that you were a 'colonizer' in the story of Frosthaven and that was a massive diversity dog whistle for them, too.
Embarrassing. Glad i washed my hands of their shit. I put in over 500 on that, too.

Blood Rage is unfortunately pretty fun
