Of fucking course. I was going to say if there's ever a remake of Misery, they'd contrive an excuse to make Annie an anti-hero. But then I thought if they made it about a disgruntled Game of Thrones fan who abducted George R.R. Martin, it might actually work.

I dunno, they'd probably follow the plot of Misery just fine. They'd just change Annie into a toxic white MAGA hat-wearing manbaby who's mad the heroic progressive they/them author put wonderful translesbians of COLOUR into its book.
