Korea and Japan weren't historically Christian in the first place (although Christians are a significant and influential minority in S. Korea). Nevermind that tons of medieval European literature is plenty "weird," and Western creativity has gone to shit this century.

I don’t get it. This is a movie about a rising pop start but the pop star is a monkey to make it “fresh” and “bold”?
Some of the concept has some appeal, in some of the same ways that the original Planet of the Apes films did. Also some Teen Wolf vibes.
But eh, this film's approach looks a bit lame for some reason. Soulless, a bit too cookie-cutter, trying too hard, something along those lines.
