Author Nation Book Conference Cancels Science Fiction Author Richard Fox For Refusing To Comply With Gender Pronouns
Richard Fox is an incredible sci-fi author with his Ember War series and for Baen Books, and yet Author Nation is choosing to discriminate against conservatives who don't want to play pronoun games.
This must be one of those banned books I keep hearing about.
In an insane world, the sane person is an outcast.
Saw this story. Baen needs to sponsor conventions
Seriously, they do. They should have done it a long time ago after the infamous wooden asshole event at 2015 Worldcon, where long time editor in chief for Baen books Toni Weisskopf got 1216 votes to win the Hugo award for long form editing, and the fucking assholes at Worldcon conspired to vote "no award" as a block just out of spite. This was the year that Brad Torgerson set up Sad Puppies 1, which I won't go in depth on, but in short was a reader revolt against woke voting slates of Worldcon members who had been dominating the Hugo awards for their favored garbage authors for many years.
Thanks to Sad Puppies I stopped buying newer sci fi and fantasy because it exposed just how crazy it became. Really annoyed me how sales were higher for the sad puppy authors but they were giving awards to terrible authors like Jemison
Scifi is fucking infested with this progressive garbage. Even if his stuff looks fairly pulpy I'll give it a shot.
Everything is infested with progressive garbage. It’s like a rampant disease. Grab a random book off a shelf at a bookstore and odds are it has some lgbt garbage in it.
Okay, now I have one good reason to buy these books. Are they actually good, though? I need something new to read and have been feeling fiction.
Not particularly. Got the first three books in a bundle and stopped after the second book. They're sci-fi schlock with no interesting ideas.
