Still need semi functional body parts for adrenaline to work on though, that his inner ear didn't get pulverised by the blast wave so badly he couldn't tell up from down seems like a small miracle alone.
From the video description, he was wearing a helmet. Not that that would likely be enough to withstand explosives. If anything, I'm guessing it forced it slightly upwards, deflecting it somewhat into and somewhat over his helmet.
If you want some detail I've seen footage of the Myanmar civil war currently ongoing and the constructions are often primitive as fuck. They're usually commercially available drones that have been repurposed and have a dumb bomb fitted to them which they simply release onto the enemy once they're overhead.
Ridiculous, but clearly very effective and it's nice I can post about that sort of thing because the footage is freely available so I shouldn't run afoul of any keyword scanning lol. Oh and yes, Myanmar is a thing right now, the media have done 'some' reporting on it but not that much because everybody is doing current thing virtue signalling on Ukraine.
Basically the view of current warfare seems to be, yes drones are fucked up, but at the same time why spend that much money on a tank when you can buy a few hundred drones for the same money and strap some explosives on them? You're there to win a war not do a larp.
Get ready to live in a world with 1950s technology, because the most effective way to defeat armies of drones is to EMP the shit out of everything. Unfortunately all your consumer electronics will get fried as well.
While that is a completely possible disaster scenario in Myanmar they were using wireless jammers to block the drones and I'm sure they're going to invent short range EMP or maybe even directional EMP devices soon enough if they haven't already in secret to count drone tech. There's also the laser weapons that have been in development for some time and I think even the elites aren't going to risk red pilling so many people at once by taking away the devices that keep everyone zombified and compliant.
Already happening believe it or not, it's started off as civilian tech initially, for example in China they had it where they were flying drones in formation as part of a festival or something, can't remember if it was new years or what, but it's there so you can bet it's going to be repurposed pretty easily. There was also some kind of dispute between two drone companies I remember reading about and they tried knocking out their signals.
It's entirely possible that the rotors leaned forward on the drone and he hit it on the top of the vehicle, and the explosives are designed to explode downwards. That could have happened.
It will depend entirely on the design I'm sure, but I'm not an explosives expert by any stretch, I think people are right to chalk it up to chance or a miracle, like with Trump turning his head just in time to get grazed by the bullet.
That might be part of it yeah. I kept rewatching to pinpoint the explosion epicenter, which does seem to be on him, because the blast felt like it was further away from him. If it was a shaped charge and his headbutt tilted the drone to face the charge away from him that could explain the lopsided blast.
I also wonder if having his head down from the headbutt managed to place his helmet in just the right position to make it an impromptu full-coverage blast shield for his skull, just to take a fraction more energy away from the impact.
Alive, but there’s no way he didn’t walk away with some serious brain damage and probably lifelong headaches. Thats not even getting into the fact that he somehow doesn’t have sepsis or serious infection from a wound that visceral. I’d say it’s a modern miracle.
Gents, I don't have words...
No one will ever believe him without this footage.
This is the single most unbelievable thing I've ever seen in the history of warfare.
And yeah, he's alive. At least for the video.
I just had to share this.
Not only alive, but jogged away unaided.
I don't know how the fuck that happened but I can only hope this is the begining of a new era of warriors training to headbutt robots to death.
The adrenalin dump probably kept him going, regardless of whatever wounds he may have received.

I wonder if it forced the blast downwards, can't say I have kept up to date on the construction of attack drones.

Wait until AI can control those hundreds of drones without a team of
blinddrone operatorsbombing weddings and families collecting waterAlready happening believe it or not, it's started off as civilian tech initially, for example in China they had it where they were flying drones in formation as part of a festival or something, can't remember if it was new years or what, but it's there so you can bet it's going to be repurposed pretty easily. I think even if we understood precisely what happened, we'd still call it a miracle.

Angry Cops on YT wants someone to try and replicate it for science, and it seems like it would be a fun project.

I'D give him 100% disability for the TBI he's guaranteed to have now, but I doubt Russia's version of the VA is up to my standards.
Maybe not for the average Russian soldier, but I bet they'll try to keep this guy alive so they can use the drone headbutter for propaganda purposes.
