The double standard annoys me a little. You see the cover of romance novels and the males are traditionally attractive. Nobody tries to shame women for liking attractive men but guys get a lot of crap if they don’t want to date an overweight woman

Even way back then, it weirded me out, but yeah, at least it was actually funny sometimes, in a comedy frame. Monty Python springs to mind, and Little Britain's "rubbish transvestite Emily Howard."
Transvestites are at least a marked improvement over trannies, as you say. And at least we're not demanded to rebuke reality, else be branded Bad People, when it comes to transvestites.
That's probably what I resent most about trannies; the brainwashing that goes along with it. It's literally a torture/brainwashing tactic; make people accept larger and larger falsehoods, and you can control their mind. Start with something small they know is untrue, and make them say it's true. Then work your way up. You destroy them, and control them.
