The government has more advanced tech than the public. What we normally consider v-tubing is only a fraction of what's possible.
Metaphysic demonstrates their technology on America's Got Talent:

After seeing that, I question whether or not the person who recently gave an address from the Oval Office was actually Joe Biden:
I don't like the new world. Computers were a mistake. I wonder how much work I can get done on a typewriter.
Computers weren't the mistake, user interfaces were the mistake.
We could have been a technocratic priesthood for a millennia but nooooo.
That certainly is an effective gatekeeper whether you meant limiting them to program entry via machine code or going as far as a command line. There was a certain level of minimum intelligence required to use then.
With enough monkeys, you can accomplish a whole lot with typewriters.
I keep telling people this but no one wants to believe the guy who works in IT.
Welcome to the future motherfuckers!
I doubt this'll affect vtubing as that's all about the fantasy so people would rather debate who's better, cat, rabbit or wolf girl than have people turn into some real life person.
The more serious angle is them using it to replace their senile puppets in public announcements and in ab entertainment 'we own you completely' way from now on.
People still use fireworks for their original entertainment purpose. I'm just highlighting v-tubing's "gun powder" moment. With 5th generation warfare, it will be weaponized.
"5GW is a war of information and perception"
This means that a Fifth Generation Warfare conflict can be fought and won without a single bullet being fired, or even most of the population knowing that a war is taking place.

La Li Lu Le Lo. La Li Lu Le Lo. La Li Lu Le Lo.
Why not a photo realistic cat girl?
I feel like that might be too much in the uncanny valley that it'd be uncomfortable for viewers.
Let give the example of robots, there was a Japanese researcher that made a completely life like robot copy of himself. He wanted to study if humans would prefer robots looking EXACTLY like them or if they want something distinctly different from themselves but could still empathise with.
Feel like it's the same with Vtubers if they tried to make photo realistic monster/animal girl avatars.
We're at the point with technology that if you aren't watching something in-person, then you can't know for certain whether it's real or fake.
The Trump assassination attempt has enough secondary videos/photos and witnesses that it can't be denied.
The Biden Oval Office statement is just him in front of a camera and the crew that filmed it. Authenticity uncertain.
I mean you got the The Princess of Wales video which seems very AI, not verified but the debunking video is fun
Still, think they will have to use the doubles with fake mask for the onsite stuff, since they have yet to get everyone to wear the ar googles, haha
The AI scene is still pretty intense. What people are talking about about was able to be done about a year ago, and fully trained 6 months ago.
The US Government might have more power, but that doesn't mean they have the skills or abilities they claim. Tom Clancy wrote about satellites able to read books in Russia, while the truth was grainy black and white. Heck, the MK Ultra guys were getting better accuracy at the time, and no one knows how that worked.
Is there supposed to be a link here?
There are four links in the text. Are they not working for you? All four are working for me.
It was opening the link to this post with the post collapsed for me, so it looked blank. Not sure why.
Hopefully the future is that this embarrassing trend ceases to exist.
Look at the audience in those AGT videos cheering. They have no idea what horrors will come from the technology they are applauding.
It reminds me of the movie Equilibrium. Father had been dead for years, but the government continued to use his likeness to broadcast propaganda.
