Google stopped being a utility when it dropped it's motto of "Don't be evil".
It tried to dispense this as an update to it's guiding principles being more adult or modern but whoever it was that made it happen wanted the world to know that it had been infected beyond repair and what was once the ideals of perfect search and information management had been killed.
It's just a matter of waiting for that vacuum to be filled and for those who can maintain the overall management of other operations of Google to separate it from their works.
This is a simple case of Lucifer returning to Heaven.
And wanted the world to know that they were for sale to the highest bidders. (USGov and CCP in their respective countries)
Apostrophe "s" with "it" means "it is"
No apostrophe with "it" means possession.
Great! Is your next trick fixing the wiring in my brain?
Try rereading your post before hitting enter.
Don't be evil! :p
I am not Google.
Or (alternatively), use the handy dandy "edit" button.
"Come on bro it's just the algorithm bro I swear we don't censor anything."
The algorithm ate my homework.
Being that I don't foresee a friendly government strong enough to fix this from a government perspective, how does this get solved? How can we really eat into the Google market share? They dominate everything. If it's just "don't use Google" then that clearly doesn't work. I de-Googled about 6 years ago. I'm one person and it hasn't made a dent. Microsoft barely made a dent with Bing, and I'm really close to arguing Microsoft is worse. At the very least, they are the same.
Counterpooint.
Google products are getting less useful because their use is based around "knowing everything" if the needle moved a few % it affects their services.
google maps is worse than it once was, google search is essentially useless for certain topics. The topics you can't use google for is increasing. This is a good trend. Deny them data, and when you have to give them data, pollute the meta data, lie about your demographics. Make google ads less and less worth it to spend on.
It is solved by convincing all CEO's everywhere to not be the CEO of Alphabet via repeated use of the People's Veto. Change the Risk/Reward dynamic to heavily favor not getting involved.
