I recommend everyone watch it. Keep a finger on the 30 second skip button to bypass the really degenerate stuff though.
The reason you should watch it is because it is an instructive illustration of what they see when you disagree with them. And of how much they hate YOU. Not some abstract concept, but you personally. Sam Hyde wasn't even slightly exaggerating when he said “When we win, do not forget that these people want you broke, dead, your kids raped and brainwashed, and they think it's funny.” If anything, he wasn't expressing the sentiment strongly enough.
Remember those lessons for when the other side asks of you any mercy or human consideration, and for when the people supposedly on our side call for restraint.
They explicitly blood libel all of MAGA as stupid, racist, violent fascists. It’s the exact same rhetoric that lead to the very real assassination attempt on 7/13. These are the same people telling conservatives to “turn down the temperature”.
Mike Lindell is mentioned by name. It’s beyond petty.
They repeatedly inflict sexual assault upon a white straight male character, and it is played for laughs. Showrunner confirmed that it was “funny”. When the character’s girlfriend finds out, she gets mad at him - and then he apologizes.
The main villain is a ludicrous caricature of a nationalist hero who is simultaneously a retarded child and the most dangerous character on the show. They routinely humiliate him in increasingly stupid ways in order to spite the segments of the audience who liked him. He complains about “wokeness” like a gamergate boogeyman.
The show is also a needlessly vulgar and degenerate display from start to finish. The creators are deprived, immoral lefties who relish in the most disgusting and perverse imagery I’ve ever seen on mainstream television.
I remember Kripke openly admitted this. It irked them beyond belief that viewers actually liked Homelander (because he was legit the most well written character, and the actor did a great job and has a highly meme-worthy face).
Same thing happened with the Soldier Boy character from season 3. They tried writing a stereotypical bigoted 80’s action hero and ended up creating an incredibly based boomer who openly rolled his eyes at handholding fags, hit on women, smoked Marlboro and told Hughey to man the fuck up. They promptly locked him out of the plot again as soon as they could.
Now there’s some fat nigress whose power is being the smartest person on the planet, and they’re all her dummy pawns or some shit. I dunno because I quit season 4 after episode 1. That show can fuck off, so can Eric Kripke, so can Amazon prime.
Her power quite literally sounds like "Mary Sue: The Power", where she warps reality like Scarlet Witch did in the comics so that reality goes along to her whims.
It's honestly Tumblr tier levels of how bad the writing is.
And on top of all that they resort to trash writing, like having the characters suddenly drop 50 IQ points and do the dumbest shit imaginable to move the plot forward "I'm going to go clobber my political opponent on live TV!" "Let me just stand here like a docile lamb while this dude walks up to kill me!"
He’s shown doing anything for breast milk and worrying about his prostate as he ages. 😂 😂
So now we are ok to attack people based off their sexuality?
And ageism?
(I don’t make the rules. I ensure you’re following your own rules)
The breast milk thing sounds like they are saying he is a big baby putting on a front.
They make no effort to hide the fact that that is exactly how they want him to be perceived.
He's the product of a Superman like child growing up under lab conditions with no real father/parental figure, so to the surprise of nobody with any actual brains the character is extremely fucked up. Now add on to the fact he's the single most powerful being on the planet and you a recipe for disaster, but then that's the entire point of the character in the comic, the tv show is just retarded in its takes.
Wasn't this the show that attracted a 'based' fanbase despite being "a satire" that is "making fun of you" like Fight Club or Starship Troopers? And the creators were mad the fans liked it for the "wrong" reasons? This is clearly an attempt to correct that.
Well I've never seen an episode and I won't start now.
Leftists, particularly "creatives", are too self-focused to comprehend that their caricatures of the things they hate are seen positively by the other side that doesn't hate the same things.
Are there any references to Israel, it's lobbying, or the Israel/Palestine conflict?
