Is this their attempt to stop people from pulling their donations away from the Biden campaign?
No refunds!
Where do they get the money? Is the PAC the donors directly, or do they collect donations? If they're freezing other peoples' money, that seems like a bit of a sketchy situation.
Also, fuck PACs in general. If we're going to bother with any sort of campaign finance laws, they shouldn't be this easy to get around. Same goes for the whole "party" system; the DNC and RNC both have a rather, uhm, undemocratic/unrepublican amount of power.
Oh, hell yeah, let's fucking go! Keep 'em coming, Biden! I'll probably be able to survive the inevitable highly concentrated cringe. Although there's the very real risk the cringe is so concentrated it creates a blackhole and we all die.
Yes it's other people's money. No they can't do anything about it. That's the drawback of PACs letting you get around donation limits, you're not donating to a candidate you're donating to the PAC and they get to decide what to do with it.
It's one of the very few drawbacks to what is at best legalized money laundering.
Literally every law that gets passed is given a giant loophole to allow Elites and Politicians to not be held to them. Its why taxes are the way they are and why PACs are so obvious in what they are intended for.
Its also one reason why everything presented before Congress is 900 pages long, because they make sure to leave a dozen caveats to everything to not actually limit themselves, only the plebs.
