I will officially state, if this gets to convention and Biden is still the nominee or replace with him with Kamala, there was no 4d chess, no grand plan, they've been pulling this out their ass for YEARS.

A conspiracy to consider. The Powers That Be actually WANT to run Biden because they need Trump elected at this point for a few reasons.
One, he's shown himself to be somewhat of a paper tiger. Two, as someone else here mentioned his election would cool tensions. Last but not least he would shore up support for Israel politically and militarily while keeping the Left from alienating it's base.
They're probably just rabidly incompetent thanks to long term DEI infection but it's food for thought.

I think they want to replace him after their reality bubble popped. I also think Joe has his more lucid moments, and is alot more vitriolic than even the 'slips' we've seen in the past have shown, which is why it'll never happen barring him keeling over unexpectedly.
Has there ever been a successful election on this scale where a party did a late-hour swap and pulled it off successfully?
Between his outbursts while lucid and his wife who desperately wants to cling to power no matter what there is not going to be any chance of him stepping aside.
Honestly, at this point it is probably too late to switch. Some states have it set that the person that wins the primary must appear on the ballot. Can you imagine how much of a cluster fuck it would be in those states where 2 different people appear under the democratic line? You're going to lose at least 10% of the vote of people screwing up the ballot.
As hilarious as that would be, the last thing that I want is to listen to liberals screech about a 'stolen election', despite it being a result of their own clusterfuck.

Amazingly, all of the possible replacements poll even worse than Biden except for Big Mike.
I had a thought, and it's mostly dramatic postulation; incapacitate Biden and use a bunch of in-house deepfakes to make it seem like he's still active as they find his replacement, then also fake Biden ceding his position as top Democrat to whoever that is.
We've seen the way his handlers shepherd him around already, and if it comes down to potentially losing their power because Biden is too ineffectual, to what depths would they not stoop to maintain it? I've never seen Democrats so publicly on the backfoot.
Getting to use all of your ideas, and finding out they suck is not the greatest moment.
