You know, I've never actually thought about where the weekly calendar's names come from. Though I was definitely taught how the monthly calendar came from Roman emperors.
I just remember because except for Saturday (Saturn) English days of the week uses the corresponding Norse god/goddess from Romans. I only knew about that because I know Spanish and their days of the week come from the Latin/Roman names
Oh no, they absolutely do know. And they have a problem with that.
I mean Norse Mythology is ingrained somewhat in our language. Why do they think we call today Thursday

Sun's Day, Moon's Day, Tiw's (Tyr's) Day, Woden's Day, Thor's Day, Fria's (Frigg's) Day, Saturn's Day.

These same people claim that Norse mythology "is for everyone," but now it's problematic to display it.
