One thing no one can fault the prequels for is that they had alien worlds that felt alien. Coroscant, Kamino, even the more mundane worlds like Naboo had enough weird architecture to feel alien. Especially on the Gungan side of things.
I enjoyed the prequels but I grew up with them. I enjoyed the original trilogy immensely but grew up with them too as a child of a big star wars fan (my dad). I saw the last jedi on cinema with my dad and we both agreed star wars was over. We both liked the prequels, they have their flaws but they are indeed star wars. I would argue some of the extra material like games (kotor, Republic commando, that one bobba fett game I forgot the name of etc) all added to universe. I cannot see the Disney stuff with the exception of the first two seasons of mando ever capture even a spark of star wars. Sorry, random rant.
Yea I’m strictly pre Disney Star Wars. I’m happy with 1-6 and my EU books and comics. What makes no sense is that the appearance of Luke got them a massive reaction at the end of Mando season 2. You would think they would’ve realized that making him a grumpy hermit was a mistake and I would tried to figure out a way to retcon last Jedi and then Carano was popular with fans. They fire her

The prequels are (arguably) bad Star Wars movies.
But no one debates or argues whether or not they are, indeed, Star Wars movies.
Unlike the sequels.
Millennial spite writing is going to be a terrible curse to deal with for the next couple decades.
They’re all just cultural vandals. Everything is being captured by the people who hate it.
Even more importantly, they hate the people who like it and want them to be miserable.
Sincerity is le cringe among Millennials. Everything must be ironic and accompanied with an eye roll and a snarky quip.
It's cutting the heads off statues of history they don't understand, in movie form.

Tattooine alone had more Alien in it than probably every modern Star Wars combined. Humans with color and prosthetics doesn't count as Alien.
