I thought he was a super religious Mormon like Card. Or I heard he wasn’t obsessed with the cult of diversity

He's probably been pretty sheltered in book publishing, despite it being taken over by Karen activists. He prob got a new group editor that realized he was a white man. So he's gotta do the tour.

But now, I don't care if he's a true believer or just doing lip service, I can't reward this faggery by buying more of his books.

He's got fuck you money too, he had a kickstarter hit over 30 mil. He doesn't even need the mainstream publishing monolith anymore. So I dunno wtf his problem is. Maybe they got some blackmail on him. Check his hard drives. Maybe he's angling for a streaming/Hollywood deal or something for one of his properties.

This.

He's voicing leftist shibboleths as he negotiates with audible. No surprise there.

The Black Rider will toss him once he's finished fellating the gays.

The mainstream will use and spend him accordingly. He has his reward.

Utah is an odd state that's kind of like California - great weather(sometimes), beautiful environments, but doesn't have the freaks and the local government is, well... weird.

So they vote and support this stuff because they're being 'nice' and don't have to deal with any of the repercussions, as the aforementioned pre-established weirdness keeps all the freaks away.

Salt Lake City is one of the gayest cities in the country.

It's a common effect of urbanization for some reason. Probably something to do with the higher, denser populations, and thus a greater chance of an influx of newcomers who aren't native to the region.

Although in Utah the contrasting differences between urban city centers and suburban or rural areas are especially noticeable. Culturally speaking.

It's almost like all the degenerates congregate in cities no matter where you go. Maybe but cities were a mistake.

I assume that if you grow up anywhere in conservative or Mormon Western part of the country and go gay, that you move to Salt Lake City. Makes sense from the perspective that most small towns have a microscopic gay population compared to a large city like Salt Lake.

If gay males are 1% of the population, and you live in a small town of 5,000, that's maybe 25 people.

I do think large urban cities particularly promote grooming and that shit, however.

He was religious, I don't know if he still is.

He was conservative, I doubt he still is.

He made some comments years ago about gay marriage, then got "educated" by the usual crybullies. Since then he has added gay characters to his books, etc. Too bad. Still a great author.

Gotcha. Only thing I’ve read of his are the Wheel of Time books he finished. I did plan on reading Mistborn or Stormlight. I kinda feel he is saying what he knows he has to say but at least Orson Scott Card stuck to his guns. I do remember hearing about Sanderson being bullied into adding gay characters

I've said for years that Mormons are some of the most easily corrupted when it comes to woke/regressive/leftist ideals, especially given the right angle and appeal to emotion and "compassion".

Simply put, they're too nice, and many live in a cozy and isolated bubble. Male Mormons can, to some extent, be the perfect poster-child example for the "White Knight" pejorative. And almost anytime the narrative can be spun to emphasize how much families, children, and/or women are suffering, Mormons can easily fall for it.

That's not to say that they're pushovers either. They like things quiet and civil in their communities, and wouldn't have a lot of tolerance for a "summer of love" situation to get out of control. Or out of control SF-drug trafficking and rampant thievery.

And ironically, I guess much like other religious institutions, most members prefer to adhere to trust in their church's efforts to provide charity and humanitarian aide, rather than through the usual globalist/leftist institutions. Which means they tend to not pay as much credence or actual money directly to the leftist cause.

Yea, I’ll pay my taxes but I am happier working with my church to help those in need. I’ve known a few Mormons and that definitely would apply to the ones I’ve met

And Mormons have the least experience with black people.

He just gave a "fellow Mormons" speech. He's not a follower of the mainstream LDS church. He can claim whatever he wants.
