With the Shogun show being a hit, this could have been a GREAT time to make an Assassin's Creed game set in Japan.

The west has already been culturally conquered, Japan with a homogenous population and advanced culture that is being admired was the obvious next step.
Leftists hate Japan with a passion.
The ones playing victims also are successfully using that "xenophobia" bludgeon to convince Japanese people who like foreigners to be nice and protest with them.
Though I do wonder how many of those foreigners are white vs. (((white))) or other miscellaneous shade of brown.

Lose a war where you ally with Nazis and you pay the price. Japan has been conquered. They should have thought about that before they sided with Hitler.

Yep, even Bethesda can capitalise better than them given all they did was provide a much needed patch to Fallout 4 and make a few Enclave related creation club stuff free after the Fallout show.
