"‘A miserable little doom goblin’: Rita Panahi blasts ‘commie troll’ Greta Thunberg" - Sky News. Also covers a lot of the Eurovision bullshit. Worth watching for the clips of Bambie Thug going, umm, off the rails. Also Greece, which is a 37-year-old larping as a bored teenybopper. Bizarro World. (www.youtube.com)

But she's right this time.

Sort of. She's just a protestor for hire, at this point.

I've met Greta. She has graduated from "this is my whole cause and I will die if you don't stop it" to "I will protest for/against whatever is trendy right now".

But I also don't agree that protesting against/blaming the Israeli performer helps in any way. It just looks like a massive self-own.

Is it hypocritical that Israel is there, and Russia/Belarus aren't? Sure, but blaming the artist who has nothing to do with any of it achieves absolutely nothing positive, and just plays into Hasbara's hands.

Both sides can be wrong at the same time, as here.

It doesn't really matter. Israel has pissed off enough people and has a large enough propaganda network that it will be able to dig up annoying people to present to you as its foils.

They will even tailor it to the audience. Sky News is a Murdoch operation with a conservative audience so they will focus on queers, Muslims, and climate activists. Something like MSNBC will blast Trump and Republicans (yes, really).

The best solution is to tune out their propaganda.

I mean, I hate the Israeli government with a passion, and have been to Palestine rallies previously, and even I find the current campus protests, and what happened in Malmö, to be both absurd and distasteful…

Which either means I’m getting old, or the Overton window has shifted on this issue…

For context, I refuse to even buy Max Brenner chocolates or Sodastream products, because of the IDF connections, but I still don’t find the current tactics of that movement to be either logical or appealing…

The Eurovision stuff is just retarded. The campus sit ins, depending on which one, sometimes have merit. A lot universities have ties to Israel that can be severed. They just attract cringy retards. Even this place attracts pedo pajeets and other assorted fruitcakes.

Yeah, it’s not that I disagree with the campus protests in principle. But demanding that the University brings them food, attacking people who ask them questions, and generally having no idea what they actually want… Just makes them look like loons, as you say, or rent-a-crowds…

They should just direct questions to spokespeople anyway. That's what any organized political movement should do. Hunger strikes are almost always retarded. You're putting a burden on yourself instead of your enemies. Why do that?

You should scrub all proof of your presence from those groups, because the feds will just turn the anti-zionist cause into a state-approved 'against white supremacy' movement soon.

Eh, it’s been a number of years, and I was never more than an “attendee”, so I’m really not worried about that.

I’m small fry.

I literally do not matter at all, at this point. Which is… Eh.

Yeah, I was worried because I had an acquaintance who got a little riled up during the st.fentanyl riots, and ever since he smashed open a store window for "social justice", the blm/antifa dipshits were constantly ordering him to attend their actions or else he would be 'sold out'.

He committed suicide in 2023 and it was labeled a "mental health" issue.

I notice a lot of people here are no fan of Israel but also don’t act like Palestine is some utopia. I’ve read some unflattering things about the Israeli govt to put it mildly but it is hard for me to take the side of stupid teenage protestors since these are the same people who cheer on blm or think saying that men are not women is genocide. I do believe in free speech as long as you don’t interfere with others. In the flip side these bills opposing antisemitism seem are definitely a violation of free speech

Yep, totally agree with you there, on all counts.

Palestine... Used to be a fairly "liberal", developed part of the Islamic world. Especially Old Jaffa and Jerusalem itself.

Then the Jews took over, and, well, we know most of the 75 years since then...

Palestine now, or more specifically Gaza now, is not that. Parts of the Palestinian West Bank are relatively "normal" for the Islamic world, much like parts of Iraq, Lebanon or Iran are (there's even at least one brewery in Ramallah, I believe). But Gaza, as controlled by Hamas and constantly bombed by Israel, is an oppressive, theocratic, overpopulated shithole.

The problem is that Israel wants it to be exactly as much of a shithole as it is, because it provides an easy "enemy on the doorstep", among other things.

Israel basically created and funded Hamas, and (arguably) allowed October 7 to happen, or at the very least ignored every possible warning about it, and now, here we are...

A bit like how Netanyahu and his cabinet couldn't give less of a shit about the hostages. They're just a convenient excuse. That's become increasingly obvious over recent months.

Holy shit, would never have guessed Greece was 37. Makes the performance quite odd, though not as bad as Denmark's twink last year going for the tween vote
