Oh it definitely sucks, but I mean, the bastardization they've done to games is WAY worse than requiring you to type in an account login.
Right, no argument here.
But to your point, you'd likely have to log into a PSN account on your playstation in order to play those censored games. With the exception of Stellar Blade. I think that's single player. But it might have online elements like leaderboards or something.
Edit: Forgot to mention that since 2011, Sony has been hacked multiple times. They are not someone I want handling my info if they can be compromised multiple times and cannot be trusted with it.
The April 2011 hack where 77 million PSN user info was obtained.
May 2011 22 million PSN user info is found for sale on the dark web. Including name, address, credit card, PSN account name and password.
November 2014 Hackers steal 100 Terrabytes of data from Sony Pictures
August 2017 Hackers Obtain Sony Social Media accounts
September 2023 Sony network hacked again.
October 2023 Sony notifies it's employees of the data breach.
No thanks. The company cannot be trusted with anyone's info.
But that requires people to have a playstation to notice the censorship. I don't, so I don't keep up with sony's bullshit. If I played helldivers (which I don't, for other reasons) this would be the first thing to impact me from sony.
the fact is normies don't pay attention to that. normie's sea games when they pop up in the store, think "neat I'll play that", and play the game. they do not invest time into the behind the scenes efforts, and are often completely oblivious to censorship and bad localization.
I wouldn’t have bought the game if the launcher was a requirement to begin with.
You console peasants are so used to being fucked up the ass that you’re actually mad as the people resisting.
