This is the entire point of the bear/man question. Obviously, in 99.99% of circumstances you would pick man - the only case in which you wouldn't is if you knew the man was going to eat you while you were still alive, y'know, like bears do. But their brains are so rotted out with trash media that they seriously think that "bear" would ever be preferable.
We did too good a job protecting them boys, now they don't even understand reality.
As an aside, what exactly is the horror of rape these days? Abortions are easily accessible and STDs are either curable or treatable, so what's the big downside? How is it worse that a comparable assault? Considering the total lack of long term consequences, I would argue getting a tooth punched out is worse than rape, assuming access to Western healthcare.
I'm willing to say that rape is a much more intimate violation than assault. I don't agree with the corollary that usually goes with that that it's guaranteed to "traumatize" you forever—I think you can and should mentally recover from such a thing in most cases—but I have no issue with the idea that it would be more frightening or mentally painful than getting punched in the face, or even, maybe, than getting held down and repeatedly punched for an equivalent amount of time that a rape would take. (Although at that point the analogy falls apart a little because we wander back into the realm of "repeated bludgeoning is more likely to cause long-lasting physical damage.")
That was my argument also, but my comment didn’t post…
Rape is objectively not as bad as being eaten alive/dismembered/disemboweled, which should be obvious, but somehow isn’t, to these idiots…
At least with rape you’re likely to still be fucking alive, at the end of it. At least relative to the bear situation…
Being alive is always the superior option, because while alive, you always have the option to be dead, but once dead, you do not have the option of being alive. If being dead is superior, then everyone who is alive with that decision can choose to be dead.
