Did Cyberpunk 2077 legitimately become a good game, or did an influx of tourists who've hardly played games and thus wouldn't know a good one from a trite one just buy it up in droves because they liked a crappy Shitflix cartoon based on it?
it doesn't really matter how well you draw it, a scene where you literally play camera zooming sounds in on a White woman violently making out with an ugly street ape will always belong in the trash.
Yeah it's fucking tourists, I've been wondering where they've all coming from and it looks like the games industry types are hoping to get their wish of Hollywood style fame with how badly the film industry is doing right now and as a result that means you have these twats coming in and spamming everywhere with their garbage.
It really does skew the reviews quite badly so it must be a nightmare for any dev looking to get genuine feedback. I don't blame newer devs as a result for just ditching the steam forums among other things. They either whine about cheats in multiplayer even if it's actually not as bad as that and they suck or they leave reviews for games they haven't even properly finished like with Baldur's Gate 3. A lot of the reviewers there admit they didn't even get fully past act 2. They also definitely didn't play BG1 and 2 which is why they're sitting there being normies and shrugging of all the major lore things wrong with the game.
In case you couldn't tell, it's been grating at me for awhile, you simply can't trust the ratings system anymore because normies have borked it and even without the botting behaviour they spam on whatever they think is popular. Quite often it's because of streamers playing a game as well that something gets a normie bump.

yes.
The latter.,
Studio Trigger simply can't make a bad-looking anime, so even people who disliked some plot points enjoyed it as eye-candy
